Job Description

We are looking for a Safety Officer, who will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety and health standards in the workplace. The primary goal will be to prevent accidents, injuries, and work-related illnesses among employees. He will work closely with management, employees, and regulatory bodies to create a safe and healthy work environment.Key Responsibilities:Developing and Implementing Safety Policies:

  • Create and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal occupational safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Training and Education:
  • Organize safety training programs for employees on topics such as emergency procedures, workplace ergonomics, and hazard communication.
  • Ensure new employees receive proper safety orientation and ongoing safety training for existing staff.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and emergency response plans.
Incident Investigation:
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain records of all safety incidents and their investigation outcomes.
Safety Communication:
  • Promote safety awareness through newsletters, posters, and safety bulletins.
  • Organize safety meetings and committees to discuss concerns, incidents, and improvement initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Keep abreast of regulatory updates and ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
Safety Culture Promotion:
  • Foster a safety culture where all employees take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their colleagues.
  • Encourage reporting of safety concerns and participation in safety initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or Diploma in Health and Safety, or a related field .
  • Fresh graduates.
  • Knowledge of occupational safety and health standards and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and implement solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Membership of the Saudi Council of Engineer for Occupational Safety and Health
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Fluent in English ( verbally and in written).
Working Conditions:
  • This role typically involves regular hours in an office setting but may also require fieldwork to conduct inspections and investigations.
  • Occasional travel may be required to attend training sessions or regulatory meetings.
