Regional Warehouse Manager

Job Description

Job Mission:The Regional Warehouse Manager will report to the Operations Director and will coordinate all warehousing & Transporting functions of all the warehouses in his region. He manages all warehouse & Transport activities, focusing on safety, performance, employee development, and warehouse & Transport process improvements.The Regional Warehouse Manager should be able to analyze complex operations and/or problems, identify causes, document and present recommended solutions including the evaluation of risks associated with the recommended solution, and Build Business and People Capabilities by embedding the company?s values.Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the performance of the warehousing & transportation including the establishment of processes, planning of labor requirements and ensures safety and regulatory compliance.
• Responsible for all consolidated warehouse & Transport operations, logistics support, and the proper placement of personnel and assets in the region.
• Directs and monitors employees through the warehouse managers to accomplish the goals of the warehouse & Transport.
• Provides effective management of warehousing & transportation activities to deliver high-quality services for business units within the region, including stock takes, unloading, receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch, at policy and strategy levels.
• Manages a Warehousing & Transport Operational Dashboard, including a set of metrics and key performance indicators that will help the process of standardizing operations and allowing benchmark comparison between the different warehouses in the region.
• Assigns duties, instructs, and supervises subordinates in proper work techniques and procedures.
• Plans and analyzes operational data and reports to ascertain the degree of conformity with established policies, work standards, and procedural directives.
• Inspects and evaluates inventory management activities.
• Prepares and updates warehouse activity plans
• Analyzes statistical data to determine the effectiveness of the operating procedures.
• Prepares future warehousing & Transporting needs and designs for the region based on the target growth rate, expansion, customer demands, and facility end of lease or end of life.
• Works with the Operations Director & National transport and procurement or maintenance teams to request, select, and purchase assets or services for the facilities in his region.

Leadership:

• Develop the guidelines to clarify the key responsibilities and practices to ensure the team promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.
• Ensure the implementation of Company programs, procedures, methods, and practices to promote ATS key messages and achieve a competitive advantage.

Self-Development:

• Ensure the alignment of the companys best practice and initiate the development plan based on the outcome of the PDR and Career Development Plan.
• Ensure performance review with the line manager every quarter and agree on an action plan.

Performance Management:

• PDR for the Team: Team up with the HR partner to prepare and timely submit PDRs for all Team Members, and ensure process completed on time as company communication and direction.

Organization & People Development:

• Development (Coaching & Training): Identify Team training needs and work with his Team and HR to ensure skills gapes are covered through systematic coaching and training courses & on the job coaching?

Building Team Talents:

• Build an Area pool of talents to allow for promotions from within and to supply the organization with capable Managers, Supervisors & front lines.
