Job Summary:The R.O Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of reverse osmosis water purification systems. This includes routine monitoring, cleaning, chemical dosing, and ensuring compliance with water quality standards and safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:• Operate and monitor R.O water treatment systems and associated equipment.• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on R.O plants, including filter replacement, membrane cleaning, and pump servicing.• Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.• Monitor water quality by collecting and analyzing samples for pH, conductivity, TDS, chlorine levels, and other parameters.• Record data from gauges, meters, and control panels.• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to low output, membrane fouling, leaks, or equipment malfunction.• Perform chemical dosing and manage inventory of consumables (antiscalant, acid, caustic soda, etc.).• Maintain logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.• Follow safety procedures and ensure safe chemical handling and storage.• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians for system upgrades or major repairs.Qualifications:• High school diploma or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.• Experience (2+ years preferred) in operating and maintaining R.O or other water treatment systems.• Knowledge of water chemistry and treatment processes.• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.• Basic computer skills for monitoring and data entry.
