SNC-Lavalin has an exciting full-time career opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with minimum 12 years? experience. Candidates having relevant project experience with HVDC, power systems, transmission & distribution lines, substations, power stations are preferred. The role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.The candidate will work in a fast-paced consulting environment with excellent career growth opportunities.ResponsibilitiesWorking in collaboration with the project team to prepare the following deliverables / provide the following services (non-exhaustive list): Reviewing plans and preparing quantity requirements. Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals. Liaising with the design team, clients, contractors, and subcontractors. Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents. Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets. Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders and advising them on improvements and new strategies. Ensure interdisciplinary coordination.Requirements Bachelors degree in quantity surveying, engineering, or similar. Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, particularly related to power systems, transmission & distribution lines, HVDC, substations, power stations projects. Construction estimating or finance experience is advantageous. Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical capabilities with a focus achieving results. Team player with great interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Client focused, highly autonomous, and ability to work under pressure. Comprehensive understanding of power system fundamentals. Knowledge or experience in HVDC, FACTS, or HV Cables, an asset. Proficiency in the following (or similar) software tools, an asset: AUTOCAD, ETAP, Primavera P6 Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills. Ability to organize, plan, and strategize. Great networking abilities. Fluency in English language, both spoken and written.
