The QHSE Officer will ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of Arcadis Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment standards. It is ideal for the candidate to have prior experience in mixed-use building projects and a strong understanding of construction-related safety and environmental regulations.Role accountabilities:Respect all Arcadis policies and guidelines, including the site supervision manual and health and safety plans, and actively contribute to health, safety, and welfare by identifying and reporting any potential workplace dangers for health and safety. Oversee and monitor compliance with QHSE regulations, standards, and legal requirements relevant to construction activities. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification, and develop corrective action plans to mitigate potential hazards. Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure that all construction activities adhere to project specifications, codes, and industry standards. Develop and maintain environmental management plans and ensure adherence to relevant environmental regulations. Compile accurate and timely QHSE reports, statistics, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Provide guidance and support to project personnel in QHSE matters and act as a resource for QHSE-related inquiries. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of QHSE practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering, occupational health and safety, environmental engineering, or a related field.
  • 8 years post graduate experience
  • Experience as a QHSE Officer in mixed-use building projects or similar construction environments is a requirement.
  • Competent user of Microsoft applications, and relevant desktop applications
  • Must be fluent in the English language and the language of the works Contract (spoken and written)
  • Must be able to work proactively within multi-cultural teams.
  • Must work professionally and in an ethical manner whilst representing Arcadis.
