A QC Welding Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying welding activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes, and quality standards. They monitor welding processes, inspect welds visually and with testing methods, and maintain documentation to ensure the integrity and safety of welded components.Key Responsibilities:Inspect and verify welds based on approved procedures, drawings, and codes (ASME, AWS, API, etc.)Conduct visual inspections and NDT (if certified) like UT, RT, PT, or MTReview and approve welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder qualification records (WQR)Monitor welding activities on-site or in the workshop to ensure process complianceIdentify and report non-conformances and coordinate corrective actionsMaintain inspection records and generate quality reportsCoordinate with production, quality, and client representatives for inspections and auditsEnsure proper storage, usage, and traceability of welding consumablesVerify material certificates and heat numbersParticipate in root cause analysis and continuous quality improvement
