We seek a qualified Quality Control (QC) Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in the steel fabrication industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in inspection, welding processes, and quality documentation, and will preferably hold relevant certifications such as CSWIP, CWI, and NDT Level IIKey Responsibilities:• Perform in-process and final inspections of steel structures, including dimensional checks and visual weld inspections.• Review and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), PQRs, and WPQs.• Conduct NDT coordination (VT, UT, PT, MT) in collaboration with certified technicians.• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.• Maintain and update Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Control Procedures.• Monitor material traceability and verify Mill Test Certificates (MTCs).• Participate in internal quality audits and support external audits by clients or third parties.• Report non-conformities, raise NCRs, and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.• Ensure proper documentation, filing, and control of QC records.Preferred Certifications:• CSWIP Welding Inspector (Level 2) or AWS CWI• NDT Level II in VT/UT/PT/MT (ASNT or equivalent)Candidate Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering• Minimum 2 years of QC experience in steel fabrication or structural steel projects• Strong knowledge of welding processes, fabrication drawings, and industry standards (AWS, ASME, ISO, API, etc.)• Familiarity with material control, traceability, and project documentation• Good communication and reporting skills in English
