Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dependable Pump Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of pump systems used in [industries such as water treatment, oil & gas, HVAC, manufacturing, etc.]. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with different types of pumps and related equipment, a solid understanding of mechanical systems, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.Key Responsibilities: Install, inspect, maintain, and repair pumps and pumping systems (e.g., centrifugal, submersible, gear, diaphragm, piston, and rotary pumps). Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to pumps and motors. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Align pumps and motors using laser or dial indicators. Replace seals, bearings, impellers, shafts, and other internal components as needed. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and specifications. Document maintenance and repair work accurately in logs or CMMS. Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex issues. Provide on-site support for emergency repairs and system shutdowns when necessary.Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred. 2+ years of experience in pump maintenance and repair. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and fluid dynamics. Familiarity with electrical systems and controls related to pumps. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in confined spaces. Valid drivers license; willingness to travel to job sites if required.
