Projects Controls Engineer - Shushah Island ProjectLocation:Saudi ArabiaJob Purpose:KAUST has been tasked to deliver several substantial, and high profile projects. The Shushah Island Coral Reefscape Project will be the world?s largest coral garden, covering an area of 100 hectares. What an exciting, innovative project to include on the list of projects you have successfully delivered throughout your career! The Project Controls Specialist will be responsible for preparing and analyzing progress reports, cash flows, identifying any risks to the schedule and budget, and providing the required mitigation plans. As the Project Controls Specialist you will co-ordinate the review of the project status reports produced by the project manager, relay any feedback to rectify issues (if any) and produce program level status reports (schedule performance, expenditures, commitments, budget performance etc.). You will work closely with the relevant Project Team and Project Manager to develop project controls information as required. This position is a 2 year fixed-term contract, your permanent base will be at NEOM, with occasional visits to meet key stakeholders at KAUST.Major Accountabilities:You will:* Attend meetings to identify client requirements, contribute to their compilation, in addition to staying abreast of changing requirements and variation orders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure strong familiarity with scope. * Review/ validate baseline schedules with the E&PM Projects Teams to ensure acceptance of the program/ project schedule and work a breakdown structure. * Liaise with the Project Managers to rectify identified issue(s), if any. * Monitor updates to the schedule against baseline (including critical path analysis, resource and cost loading, dependencies and project/ program level interfaces), and provide periodic progress updates to the relevant Program Manager/ Project Manager on progress against the schedule. * Review the Project Manager?s management of the Contractor?s schedule of obligations. * Assess Project Manager?s analysis of Contractor?s time impact analysis (TIA) and extension of time recommendations, as appropriate. * Review Project Manager?s recovery plans developed in response to off-schedule and/or unanticipated eventualities, commenting as appropriate and escalating where required (in line with the Delegated Levels of Authority), prior to implementation. * Prepare schedule projections and provide timely notice to the Program Manager on key issues that could affect the critical path schedule. * Assist the Program Manager in monitoring the Project Manager assessment of cost and time impact on risks.Qualifications:* Bachelor degree in Engineering. * Professional Certification in Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, etc.).Experience:* 12+ years of experience in Project Controls, Planning and scheduling, and Contract Commercial Management. * You must have Planning, Cost Control, Contracts and Milestone Progress expertise. * Previous GCC experience is a plus.
