We?re one global team ? 47,000 strong ? driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.Here, you will have freedom to grow in a world of opportunity.Role purpose:The Project Director serves as the senior AECOM representative for the project and is responsible to lead by example in personal conduct and professional oversight of all project aspects. Ensures client?s vision is achieved by managing and exceeding the client?s expectations.Is responsible for the overall performance of the project (contractual, financial and technical) and assumes accountability for the performance of sub-contracted entities in the performance of the services required to deliver the contracted scope of services.Optimises resources required for project delivery and actively support staff professional development.Duties:

  • Plans, directs, and supervises all operations included in a large, complex project or several moderately sized projects with greater risk and complexity, and significant financial impact.
  • Resolves complex issues.
  • Manages projects on a local to national basis achieving quality outcomes, financial performance and client satisfaction.
  • Successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, and executes project(s).
  • Acts as primary point of contact with client and has full responsibility for project delivery.
  • Project teams may include 10 or more members often representing multiple business lines, working in remote locations and including a subcontractor(s).
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline civil / mechanical / electrical / structural / construction project management / industrial engineering
  • PMP, APM or an equivalent accreditation
  • Membership of a chartered institution MICE/ MCIOB/ MRICS
  • Proven track record of instituting project excellence models and best practices, including capacity building and talent development
  • Seasonal experience and knowledge of local authority processes, procedures, codes and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 25 years? senior management experience in building, construction or infrastructure environment, plus 5 years of experience in a senior technical position with a broad engineering background
  • Maintain stakeholder relations with utility providers, private and public sector stakeholders
