The Finance Associate promotes a client-oriented approach consistent with UNDP rules and regulations. The Finance Associate will backstop and as such supervise clerical and project support staff of the Finance Unit. The Finance Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and projects? staff in the CO and with UNDP HQs staff for resolving finance-related issues and information exchange. Incumbent is expected to display initiative, a positive approach and a strong client orientation. As such, s/he might be required to undertake other emerging tasks and additional duties as required by direct supervisor or senior management. The Junior Professional Officer (JPO) will support the Department of Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Ageing in its work with governments, academia and civil society partners to advocate integrated continuum of long-term care through the development and implementation of relevant policies, guidance and tools, and the implementation of healthy ageing programmes and delivery of long-term care services at national and subnational level.
