Job Description

Responsible for the overall management of production of Gears and precision engineered parts. Leading a team of supervisors and operators to enable production using the latest technology CNC machine tools covering Hobbing, Turning, Milling, Grinding, Welding, Heat Treatment, Sheet Metalwork and Coating.

  • Provide production management to achieve time, cost and quality objectives.
  • In depth knowledge of Gear Manufacturing (Hobbing, Shaping & Grinding), Multi Process 5 Axis machines, Grinding, Heat Treatment, Laser Technologies (Welding. Cladding, Cutting).
  • Ensure smooth interface and team cooperation with engineering, planning, purchasing and finance departments.
  • Ensure smooth and stable production through proper control of resources.
  • Maintain full traceability of documentation related to production activities.
  • Review and manage the planned and actual times for production and seek method improvements to reduce cycle times and improve flow.
  • Provide daily, weekly, monthly reports on utilization
  • Active member of TPM Team
  • Reporting on success and areas that need improvement
  • Lead a team of Supervisors and Operators.
  • Provide a good image to the company through representation and exhibitions and customer visits as required.
