Job Title: Production EngineerLocation: Dammam, Saudi ArabiaIndustry: Trailer & Tanker ManufacturingReporting to: Manufacturing ManagerEmployment Type: Full-timeNationality : AnyLanguages: English- essentialJob PurposeTo lead and optimize the production operations for trailers and tankers, ensuring high-quality output, operational efficiency, and adherence to project timelines while mentoring production executives and supervisors, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:• Lead and supervise all stages of the trailer and tanker manufacturing process including steel fabrication, welding, painting, final assembly, and testing.• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet delivery targets in coordination with the Manufacturing Manager.• Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.• Ensure quality standards are maintained in coordination with the QA/QC department and address non-conformities promptly.• Mentor and guide junior staff and technicians, fostering continuous improvement and technical development.• Coordinate with the design, procurement, and maintenance departments to ensure efficient resource utilization.• Lead cost-reduction initiatives through process innovation, scrap reduction, and better workflow management.• Support the implementation of ERP and digital systems for production monitoring and reporting.• Prepare and present detailed reports on production performance, downtime, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) to management.• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Qualifications and Skills:• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.• 6+ years of experience in a production engineering role, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity within the heavy vehicles/trailers/tankers industry.• Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering documentation.• Solid knowledge of manufacturing equipment, welding standards, materials, and production flow.• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.Work Conditions:• Based in a manufacturing facility with exposure to fabrication and assembly lines.• Must comply with industrial safety standards and factory protocols.• Occasional extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
