Product Center Engineer: Dammam

Job Description

* All tasks are carried out in accordance with Engineering group policies and quality procedures under the leadership of the Engineering Manager and Bit Design Specialists. * Contribute to sales and marketing efforts to ensure products offered are in line with engineering group and company strategies * Support design projects as allocated by the Engineering Manager with minimal supervision * Prepare detailed cost estimates and ensure timely delivery of all necessary design tasks and within budget * Prepare, check and approve associated engineering documents (such as drawings, technical illustrations, manuals, reports and calculations) and ensure they are completed within the required timescales * Develop and lead test programs and factory acceptance tests to validate designs * Identify solutions to design problems in assigned projects * Utilise standard engineering calculations related to specific design or analytical projects under direction of senior engineer. * Complete assignments received from supervisor using established design tools and procedures. * See project through to completion with assistance of technical personnel. * Develop accurate and complete documentation of data and project results in a timely manner. * Interact with personnel in other departments and disciplines. * Participate in action plans for new projects defined by supervisor. * Consistently produce quality work and recommend areas where quality can be improved. * Engineering Change procedures are implemented thoroughly, ensuring minimum disruption to the business at all times * Ensure all assigned deliverables are technically in accordance with client requirements and established contract requirements * Chair client meetings and monitor individuals performance to ensure customer care is at the foremost position * Remain aware and involved in the latest developments within the industry and the greater engineering world to identify any potential concepts that could be incorporated into new designs * Travel as and when required in order to support the business * Carry out any other reasonable duties when requested by a line manager * Able to understand, evaluate and apply technical information (Functional/Technical Learning) * Anticipates the impact of change and rises to the challenge, with the ability to accept risk and uncertainty (Dealing with ambiguity) * Adept at exercising good judgement (sometimes with incomplete information) whilst being constrained by tight deadlines (Decision quality) * Able to understand the business needs and drivers (Business acumen) * Adept at exercising good judgement (sometimes with incomplete information) whilst being constrained by tight deadlines (Timely Decision Making) * Be willing to provide colleagues with the information they need to complete their tasks and eliminate roadblocks (Informing) * Be quick to identify critical information and respond appropriately (Priority Setting) * Able to apportion time effectively to complete tasks (Time Management) * Able to define, work within and improve business processes based on immediate and future business needs (Process management) * A strong sense of customer focus (internal/external) (Customer Focus) * A candid team player who collaborates with peers to solve problems (Peer relationships) * Committed to self-improvement and development through the role in order to achieve career goals (Self Development) * Firm and diplomatic when negotiating (Negotiating) * Is known to consistently adhere to ethical principles and expects others to follow suit (Ethics & Values) * Working knowledge of leading design projects within multi-disciplinary teams * Working knowledge within a manufacturing environment and within the Energy Industry, specifically within drill bits * Relevant experience within Oil and GasKnowledge Management- Able to navigate in the portal and perform simple searches Every day, the oil and gas industry?s best minds put more than 150 years of experience to work to help our customers achieve lasting success.We Power the Industry that Powers the WorldThroughout every region in the world and across every area of drilling and production, our family of companies has provided the technical expertise, advanced equipment, and operational support necessary for success?now and in the future.Global FamilyWe are a global family of thousands of individuals, working as one team to create a lasting impact for ourselves, our customers, and the communities where we live and work.Purposeful InnovationThrough purposeful business innovation, product creation, and service delivery, we are driven to power the industry that powers the world better.Service Above AllThis drives us to anticipate our customers? needs and work with them to deliver the finest products and services on time and on budget.
