  • Manage and influence internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure the product or service provision:
  • Meets the governance requirements of the business and customers.
  • Delivers optimum value for money.
  • Achieves the required service level as agreed with internal stakeholders
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategy, governance and change programmes, ensuring consistency and effective improvement in procurement services, embedding a culture of continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate exemplary business acumen
  • Effectively delegate workload across the team, ensuring priorities are managed.
  • Oversee the management of contracts throughout their life.
  • Lead and manage the risk and opportunity activities to minimize contractual exposure and maximise contract effectiveness
  • Implement and utilise all available tools and techniques, including relevant and applicable KPIs to ensure effective monitoring of supplier performance and leading any associated improvement plans/good practice share.
  • Enable open communication with suppliers to encourage collaboration and innovation where appropriate.
  • Manage and develop team/s to ensure procurement resources are deployed to best effective and that talent is managed in line with Functional requirements and changing business needs.
  • Ability to deputies for the Senior Procurement Manager.
  • Be seen by internal and external stakeholders as a subject expert and primary leader for the Procurement team within a business.Role holder will provide expertise, regularly partnering with others to meet strategic goals.
Your Qualifications
  • At least 5 years experience procurement management
  • Open to British nationals - SC Cleared preferred
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of Procurement within the Defence/Aerospace industry, Utilities, Manufacturing (or a similar sector) and ability to apply them with minimal supervision and direction
  • End to end exposure of procurement bid proposals, contract negotiations, and value add
  • Strong strategic sourcing/category management skillset, with an advanced proficiency across all aspects of the end to end procurement sphere
