The Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for engineering projects. This role involves evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and working closely with project and engineering teams to support project execution and cost control.Key Responsibilities:Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliabilityPrepare and issue purchase requests, purchase orders, and contractsReview and ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirementsNegotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors and suppliersCoordinate with engineering, project management, and quality teams for material specifications and approvalsMonitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationshipsEnsure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issuesMaintain accurate procurement records and documentationAssist in cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting procurement needsSupport inventory management and coordinate with stores/warehouse teamsEnsure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsQualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fieldProven experience in procurement, preferably in engineering or construction industriesStrong knowledge of sourcing and procurement processesFamiliarity with technical specifications and engineering documentationExcellent negotiation and communication skillsProficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications
