Key Responsibilities:• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements.• Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using hand and power tools or machines.• Assemble and install a variety of metal or non-metal pipes, valves, and fittings.• Inspect and test installed systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing equipment.• Modify and repair existing piping systems as needed.• Work with a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and plastic.• Collaborate with other trades (e.g., welders, electricians, HVAC technicians) on construction or repair projects.• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area.• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.• Adhere to local, state, and federal codes and regulations.Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or trade school preferred.• Proven experience as a pipefitter in industrial, commercial, or residential settings.• Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety practices.• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.• Skilled in welding, soldering, and pipe threading.• Physical strength and stamina; ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.• Good communication and teamwork skills.
