Job Description

  • As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors Degree from a recognized and approved university. In addition, a Paralegal Certification from a recognized national organization is highly preferred.
  • You will have a minimum of six years of diversified experience with a law firm or in-house practice that is transactional in nature - specifically with respect to M&A, venture capital and/or joint venture transactions.
  • Specific knowledge of Project Development & Finance practice area is required.
  • Experience in the oil and gas, refining, chemicals, power or other energy-related industries is a plus.
Task Description:
  • Support assigned attorneys with Mergers and Acquisitions, Venture Capital and Joint Venture transactions.
  • Prepare, review and process basic corporate law documents such as Non-Disclosure Agreements, purchase agreements, shareholders agreements.
  • Organize due diligence materials and closing documents.
  • Stay abreast of rules and regulations in various jurisdictions.
  • Conduct research, gather facts and create draft forms for attorneys.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising attorneys.
