Operational Excellence Officer

Job Description

Job Summary: The Opex Officer assists the Opex Manager in overseeing process improvement events, participating in cross-functional project teams, defining and monitoring performance metrics.They are also responsible to ensure that the organization operates as efficiently and effectively as possible.Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Opex Manager to initiate the process improvement cycle by identifying service improvement activities across the business through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking.
• Assist in the preparation of user/business requirements as part of the continuous improvement cycle, and ensuring that specifications meet the need of the business.
• Follow up with different involved team members until proper implementation and closing of the improvement opportunity and the verification and final confirmation that the applied improvement meets the initial objectives.
• Assist in managing the implementation of the risk management framework.
• Escalate to Opex Manager any newly identified risk or any risk lacking control.
• Attend the risk management committee meetings if needed and assist the Opex Manager in the implementation and closing of all actions agreed upon during the committee meetings.
• Assist the Opex Manager in working with the Data Sciences Manager on identifying new indicators and monitoring existing indicators related to performance and risks, making sure results are reported to concerned team members, committees and top management.
• Follow up on the Data Sciences department on the development of periodic reporting and dashboards using business intelligence tools.
• Assist the Opex Manager in formulating new or enhance existing security processes, policies and standards.
• Assist the Opex Manager when in BCP mode.
• Assist OpEx Manager in in facilitating the organizational change initiatives.
• Assist OpEx Manager in the incident management protocols thru conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure all QA and compliance exercises over business processes are properly conducted on time
• Analyze the results of all the QA and compliance exercises and to consequently propose corrective and preventive actions aiming at improving the actual business processes to reach higher service levels, and report results to Opex Manager.

• Degree in Business or Engineering, quality management or any related field.
• Previous experience in similar position: at least 2 years in the insurance field or TPA.
• Previous experience in quality assurance and audit.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft excel and Word.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Meticulous and detail oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment under rapid business and digital transition.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Presentation skills.
