OHS Induction Lead

Your future role: We are looking to hire OHS Induction Lead, who will be responsible for but not limited to:This job role is to ensure that IMI integrated management system (IMS) is executed in accordance with set schedules / standards and assist in facilitating ongoing regulatory compliance with all applicable legal, contractual and regulatory requirements and obligations.Personnel will work closely with site supervisors/managers and the company onboarding team to ensure new hires or persons visiting the company for business are given relevant awareness and orientation with regards to health, safety, compliance and quality assurance requirements.Key Accountabilities::

• Provide leadership and direction to HSE/IMS trainers and Induction Officers to ensure thorough and consistent implementation of HSE training and induction programs.
• Assist HSE/IMS Manager in setting training objectives and ensure that HSE/IMS training KPIs are met in line with the company?s business plan.
• Design, review and update health, safety, compliance and quality assurance training courses and program (inhouse and 3rd party) necessary to meet the integrated management system (IMS) training needs and applicable legal requirements and other requirements.
• Work in liaison with IMI Training & Development department to develop induction/training plan and schedule and communicate same to all relevant stakeholders (site supervisors/managers, contractor and client representatives/managers).
• Ensure that HSE/IMS training and induction programs are conducted effectively both in theory and practical including use of technology such as virtual reality (VR) modules.
• Work in liaison with IMI Training & Development department to ensure that training venues, materials, and logistics are available to achieve efficient training attendance and delivery.
• Ensure all necessary training equipment and materials are always in good maintenance state.
• Maintain an up-to-date documented information related to HSE/IMS trainings.
• Ensure HSE/IMS training programs are continually improved through an effective feedback process.
• Submit HSE/IMS training reports to the HSE/IMS Manager in line with company?s reporting protocols.

Who we are looking for::

• HND/BSc in Safety or relevant discipline.
• NVQ OH&S Level 4, educated to secondary school level.
• At least NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent certificate.
• Train-the-Trainer certificate.
• Excellent leadership and coordination skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver training to people of diverse nationalities, levels of education and industry experiences (including apprentices).
• Thorough knowledge of applicable local and international regulations, standards and best practices.
• High level of integrity and ethical behavior ? sets good example.
• Performance/delivery orientated.
• Flexibility to multi-task when required.
• Innovative and hardworking.
• Team player, rigorous, objective and performance/delivery orientated.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Competent understanding of HSE management systems and their implementation in respect to industrial / maritime yards and project operations.
• Knowledge of the requirements of the international standards such as ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 55001:2014, ISO 31000:2018.
• Minimum of 5 years? experience in in a similar role within the GCC or in a reputable shipyard.
• Experienced in the development and delivery of HSE/IMS training.
• Minimum of 3 years experienced in behavioral HSE training techniques.
