Job Description

NGHC Sr Project Engineer - Green Hydrogen Element (GHE) and QualificationsNEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC)Air Products has entered into an agreement with ACWA Power and NEOM (all 3 have equal ownership) for the development of a $5bl green hydrogen-based ammonia production facility sited in NEOM. This is based on renewable energy principles and the project will integrate over four gigawatts of renewable solar, wind and storage power. It will produce green ammonia for export to global markets. The project is scheduled to be onstream in 2026.POSITION SUMMARYThis position will be responsible for Project Engineering and Execution aspects of GHE Project, but not limited to scope, development, plan and execution strategy / plan with success factors (Safety, Schedule, Quality and Budget) including both external and internal customer satisfaction and other key specific objectives.NATURE & SCOPEThe main functions of this position are:

  • Engage with the contractor and review project documents including specs, drawings and procedures.
  • Monitor the procurement activities and intervene if technical deviations, quality issues, and/or delivery delays are encountered.
  • Engage in verification of scope changeswhen needed
  • Provide Project Management Support to Contractor
  • Monitor project status, provide periodic updates to management
  • Manage interface of important project matters and issues among key stakeholders internal and external parties/entities.
  • Perform / lead project review weekly meetings and update with project reports.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
  • Monitor compliance to scope, applicable codes, standards, and specifications
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Interact with the client to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
  • Monitor budget, schedule, plans, and performance, and report regularly on project status
  • manage scope changes and handle change order development
  • Work with contractor on resolution of issues for Engineering, Procurement, and construction phases
