POSITION SUMMARYThe GHE EHS Supervisor will provide Company EHS oversight to the Green Hydrogen Elements Construction Site. The incumbent is responsible to ensure all applicable EHS requirements are implemented by the Contactor and Sub-Contractor organizations to meet the intent of the NGHC EHS Plan. The incumbent will work closely with the EPC Contactor to evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop strategies to control risks in the workplace. This position will report to the Green Hydrogen Elements EHS Manager.NATURE & SCOPEThe primary function of this position is:To provide EHS guidance, communication, and support for work being conducted at the Green Hydrogen Elements construction site, while working in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.JOB DETAILSGroup: NGHC EHS&S DepartmentREPORTS TO: Green Hydrogen Elements EHS ManagerLIAISE/COOPERATE WITH: All internal and external stakeholdersNO. OF DIRECT REPORTS: NAPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES* Support the implementation of the NGHC EHS Plan across all project sites* Ensure EHS risks have been assessed and risk mitigation measures are in place* Assist project team in identifying project safety concerns* Participation in the GHE EHS inspection and auditing program* Ensure safety equipment is regularly inspected & fully operational* Monitoring and assurance of the implementation of a Control of Work Process* Understanding and monitoring of controls of Environment, Health and Safety related risks (e.g., aspects and impacts)* Verification of PTW process to ensure accuracy and fully implemented at Site.* Ensure Contractors safety programs and safe work practices are reviewed, and monitored on an ongoing basis* Ensuring EHS information/expertise is provided to the site teams when solicited* Demonstrate strong leadership throughout the project phases* Monitoring of EHS training(s) as required for the Contractor & Sub-contractor organisations* Actively participate in safety promotion events, campaigns, competitions, & established programs* Providing leadership to ensure prompt prioritization and coordination of all unforeseen issues at the site, escalating to the NGHC GHE EHS Manager as required* Participate in Behaviour Based Safety Programs* Review JSAs and/or Method Statements developed by the Contractor or Sub-Contractor to ensure all risks are mitigated.* Attend Contractor TBTs and provide input where applicable.* Give input to ensure the accurate completion of the EHS reports.* Ensure EHS related incidents are reported, investigated and corrective actions are implemented to avoid recurrence of similar incident* Be part of incident investigations when required.* Support the implementation of the NGHC Emergency Response Plan* Provide support to the Site Emergency Response Team, as required.* Provide direct support to the Incident Management Team during emergency response situations.* Participate in Emergency Response Drills & After-Action Reviews.PEOPLE MANAGEMENT* Coach and Lead EHS directives with positive manner* Sensitive and responsive to needs of different religious, ethnic, and cultural groups* Leads by example when undertaking all work activities* Drives Health & Safety standards, to foster a cohesive safety culture through effective communication skills, positive reinforcement, and stakeholder engagementESSENTIAL EDUCATION and/or QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED* 8-10 years minimum experience, working in a similar role, within heavy industry / construction environments in a field / site-base role* NEBOSH or IOSH Certificate or equivalent (Minimum Level 3)* Firm understanding of construction safety stand
