NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC)NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is an equal joint venture between Air Products, ACWA Power, and NEOM responsible for the development of the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in the autonomous NEOM region within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Project will see the construction of the worlds largest plant to produce green hydrogen at scale, producing up to 600 tonnes of carbon-free hydrogen per day through the integration of approximately 4GW of Solar and Wind energy. The plant will produce green ammonia for export to global markets and is scheduled to be onstream in 2026.POSITION SUMMARYThe Marine EHS Lead will provide EHS oversight on the Marine Jetty scope at the Green Hydrogen Elements Construction Site. The incumbent is responsible to ensure EHS requirements related to the marine scope, including vessel management are implemented by the Contactor and Sub-contractor organizations to meet the intent of the Project EHS requirements. The incumbent will work closely with the EPC Contactor to evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop strategies to control risks in the workplace. This position will report to the Green Hydrogen Elements EHS Manager.NATURE & SCOPEThe primary functions of this position are:To provide EHS guidance, communication, and support, for work being conducted at the Green Hydrogen Elements construction site, while working in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.To act as NGHC focal point for all EHS matters relevant to the GHE Marine and Jetty construction scope of workRepresent NGHC EHS function with regards to internal and external communications and stakeholder interface for the GHE marine and jetty construction scope of workEnsure compliance to all Lender and Regulatory requirements relative to the marine scopeProvide EHS support to all NGHC internal colleagues relating to the NEOM Green Hydrogen project.JOB DETAILSGroup: NGHC EHS&S DepartmentREPORTS TO: Green Hydrogen Elements EHS ManagerLIAISE/COOPERATE WITH: All internal and external stakeholdersOF DIRECT REPORTS: NAPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIESReview of EPC Contractor / Sub-contractor Management Plans such as Vessel Management Plan, Navigational Safety Management Plan, etc. related to the marine scopeReview of all associated Marine Safe Work ProceduresReview of Marine CESMP, survey reports, coral relocation plans, etc and ensure compliance with all requirementsUnderstanding and monitoring of controls of Marine Environment, Health and Safety related risks (e.g., aspects and impacts)Compliance and assurance of Sub-contractor liveaboard accommodationEnsuring Contractor and Sub-contractor compliance with Jetty Construction execution methodologySupport the implementation of the NGHC EHS Plan across all project sitesEnsure EHS risks have been assessed and risk mitigation measures are in placeAssist project team in identifying project safety concernsParticipation in the GHE EHS inspection and auditing programEnsure safety equipment is regularly inspected & fully operationalMonitoring and assurance of the implementation of a Control of Work ProcessVerification of PTW process to ensure accuracy and fully implemented at Site.Ensure Contractors safety programs and safe work practices are reviewed, and monitored on an ongoing basisEnsuring EHS information/expertise is provided to the site teams when solicitedDemonstrate strong leadership throughout the project phasesMonitoring of EHS training(s) as required for the Contractor & Sub-contractor organisationsActively participate in safety promotion events, campaigns, competitions, & established programsProviding leadership to ensure prompt prioritization and coordination of all unforeseen issu
