JOB PURPOSE / ROLE˙We are looking to recruit a competent medical coder to assist us with the proper coding ofmedical records for insurance claims.? ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS˙Medical coding specialists are responsible for correctly coding healthcare claims in order toobtain reimbursement from insurance companies.˙Obtain accurate reimbursement for healthcare claims.˙Utilize specialized medical classification software to assign services and diagnosis codes forinsurance billing.˙Review claims data to ensure that assigned codes meet required legal and insurance rules andthat required minimum dataset and authorizations are in place prior to submission.If a claim is denied due to incorrect coding, the coding specialist conducts medical recordsresearch and corresponds with insurance companies and healthcare professionals to resolvethe issue.˙The medical coder will assign the required MDMA, SFDA, GMDN, GTIN and scientific codesaligned with standard nphies and Saudi Billing System (SBS) mapping.
