Responsibilities:Develop and review mechanical system designs for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systemsPrepare design documents including drawings, specifications, BOQs, and calculation reportsPerform heat load calculations, pump head calculations, duct/pipe sizing, and equipment selectionEnsure designs comply with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS) and international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, etc.)Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvalsConduct site inspections and provide technical solutions to design-related issuesCoordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and other engineering teamsParticipate in client and consultant meetings to clarify design requirementsSupport tendering activities with technical evaluations and cost estimationRequirements:Grade A UPDA / MMUP Certification (mandatory)Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design and consultancyBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)Proficiency in mechanical design software such as HAP, Elite, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.Strong understanding of international mechanical standards and Qatar construction guidelinesExcellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilities
