Mechanical Design Engineer | AFET | KSAWhat you will do:?Review of tender document including the scope of work, specifications, and value engineering, tender bulletins, bill of quantities, technical offer, technical clarification, and list of deviation to the specification, list of deviation to the scope of work.?Prepare shop drawings and other document.?Review of the index of tender document (prepared by project secretary).?Review changes between tender and construction document.?Attend all technical meetings (Internal meetings, meetings with the main contractor or with the consultant).?General review with the Design Manager & Senior Design Engineers of other disciplines, all layouts in order to highlight any problem that might occur.?Check the document register of shop drawings related to this discipline.?Check the Material submittal schedule.?Prepare the request for information (RFI).?Review with the Design Engineer all shop drawing prepared and checked by the design engineer.?Check Material Take Off prepared by the Junior Design Engineer and issue inquiry to Procurement Dept.?Review and submit the technical material submittal forwarded from procurement department.?Follow up on the material submittal approval with the consultant and main contractor and resubmit, if required, any commented material submittal with final approval.?Issue the site requisition of the approved material once the Material Take Off is made based on approved shop drawings.?Make sure the Purchase order for the above issued site requisition is issued.?To clarify with the consultant any discrepancy between various contract documents.
