Job Description

Nature and ScopeThe Mechanical Commissioning Engineer will be initially responsible for performing mechanical commissioning activities on all power block equipment in highest safe manners utilizing all available facilities to perform and complete all required planned tasks as per commissioning procedures and as per project timeline plans.Mechanical Commissioning Engineer is responsible for ensuring mechanical completion of systems like flushing, pressure tests, cleaning and getting the systems ready for start-up and commissioning of Combined cycle Power Plant specifically in GT/HRSG/WSC/BOP systems. He shall be responsible for start-up and Commissioning together with Controls Commissioning team.˙Principal Accountabilities (Operations)˙

  1. Supervise and approve commissioning plans in accordance with project guidelines.
  2. Review designs and supervise onsite commissioning activities.
  3. Interact with contractors Manage smooth commissioning of the project by Coordinating between the company and the Contractor.
  4. Prepare and maintain commission records of site observations, testing processes and checklists Task team and hold action oversight.
  5. Investigates and resolves engineering and technical related problems.
  6. Plant Startup & Tuning, Red markup to site specific drawings & provide weekly site progress reports.
  7. Review vendor drawings, calculations, startup Procedures and other vendor documentations.
  8. Participates in regularly scheduled construction & Commissioning progress meetings.
  9. Ability to solve problems and drive for safe & reliable plant startup / commissioning.
  10. Functional checks & ensuring the proper functioning of all mechanical systems in GT/HRSG/WSC/BOP area.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙
