Material Engineer

Perform the assigned duties based on the set policies and procedures in order to achieve the technical department goals.
Review and make recommendation for approval of all submitted materials by the suppliers.
Ensure compliance of submitted materials with the projects specifications.
Prepare technical and financial evaluation of offers submitted by suppliers.
Prepare budgets and proposals, write reports and analyze costs and ensure all activities remain within budget.
Prepare Materials submittals and compliance reports with Projects specifications.
Follow-up Materials submittals process until obtaining approval from the Consultant.
Supervise, participate and direct sampling and testing of all materials according to the contract and the specifications.
Ensure inspection and checking of all delivered materials to site for conformance to the project requirements and approval.
Suggest alternatives complying with specified materials to reduce the cost after value engineering
Any other tasks related to the job assigned by the direct manager.
