Job Description

Advanced Metal Industries Co. (AMIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee and Cristal. Tasnee, signed a joint venture agreement with Japans Toho Titanium Company in January 2014 to build the SAR 1.6 billion project. The titanium sponge project is the regions first of its type to produce 15,600 tons of pure titanium. The company has sent 69 Saudi engineers to train for two years in Japan on producing pure titanium. An exciting opportunity is available for Manager, SHE, based in Jizan who will reports directly to the GM, Slagger Site. Summary:

  • Accountable for providing the support necessary to ensure SHE requirements are met. Focus is on implementing requirements, procedures & improvements over the current 12 month timeframe. Develops and delivers plans that ensure the execution of annual SHE programs and continuous development and improvement of SHE performance for a specific area of the business.
In this role, you will be responsible of:
  1. Lead site(s) EHSS team & develop & manage site(s) EHSS Budget
  2. Compliance with EHSS legal & regulatory requirements & implementation of local agreed EHSS improvements
  3. Establishes local plans for compliance with EHSS legal & regulatory requirements & improvements
  4. Address local challenges to the culture where people take accountability for their actions and intervene where required to keep people safe and protect the environment
  5. Drive the journey to zero through implementation of Corporate & Site plans.
  6. Manage development & implementation of local PSM programs that keep process hazards within vessels, pipes and other plant structures
  7. Manage development & implementation of local occupational health programs, including ensuring fitness for work
  8. Manage development & implementation of local Environmental programs.
  9. Manage development & implementation of local Security programs, including ensuring fitness for work.
  10. Manage development & implementation of local Fire & Emergency programs, including ensuring fitness for work.
  11. Manage development & implementation of local industrial hygiene programs, with a focus on reducing workplace exposures
  12. Facilitate testing of local crisis and emergency management processes in compliance with legislation and Corporate standards
  13. Liaises with local authorities in case of an emergency and others safety incidents.
  14. Accountable for coordinating EHSS audit programs & corrective actions (both internal and external)
  15. Accountable for local interactions with external stakeholders to ensure all issues are addressed.
  16. Complete/Oversee critical & complex incident investigations. Review other EHSS investigations. Recommend & implement improvements to procedures from findings.
  17. Review organizational effectiveness and make appropriate changes.
  18. Set strategic direction for the departments to achieve goals.
  19. Defines and sets department goals and objectives..
Minimum Qualification and Experience: . 12 years of experience in the field of Safety, environment, emergency planning and security with Masters or Post Graduate qualification in a specific discipline or MBA. Knowledge & Skills Required:
