Kentz Co. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Piping Engineer to oversee and manage piping design, installation, and commissioning activities for large-scale industrial projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in piping engineering within the oil & gas or petrochemical sectors and will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team to ensure the successful delivery of piping systems on time, within budget, and in compliance with international codes and client specifications.Responsibilities:Lead the design, selection, and layout of piping systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and relevant standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI, etc.)Supervise and manage a team of piping engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and mentoringCoordinate with other engineering disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure seamless integration of piping systemsReview and approve technical drawings, calculations, and material specifications for piping systemsEnsure that all piping design and installation activities adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standardsLead piping material procurement activities and coordinate with vendors and suppliersOversee the preparation of piping system calculations, stress analysis, and thermal expansion studiesMonitor project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely completion of deliverablesResolve technical issues and provide solutions for challenges related to piping systems during construction, installation, and commissioning phasesReview and validate 3D models, piping layouts, and isometric drawingsProvide input for risk management and cost estimation for piping-related activitiesEnsure proper documentation and reporting of all piping engineering processesRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline10+ years of experience in piping engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead role within oil & gas, petrochemical, or large-scale industrial projectsIn-depth knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME B31.3, ASME B16.5, ASME B31.1, etc.)Expertise in piping stress analysis and related software (e.g., Caesar II, AutoPIPE)Strong leadership, project management, and team coordination skillsExperience with 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SP3D for piping designFamiliarity with piping layout design, material selection, and procurement processesStrong understanding of safety and environmental standards related to piping systemsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
