Job Description

Job Purpose:The Lead Engineer, WET, is responsible for leading and overseeing the engineering activities related to WET processes within an organization. This role involves providing technical expertise, managing project teams, and ensuring the successful design, development, and implementation of WET processes. The Lead Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct analyses, and provide leadership to drive innovation and efficiency in WET process design and operation.Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering projects related to wet processes, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on wet process design, equipment selection, and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineering, operations, and maintenance, to define requirements, develop specifications, and ensure seamless integration of wet processes into existing production systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and cost analyses to evaluate and select the most suitable wet process technologies and equipment for specific applications.
  • Lead design reviews, HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies, and risk assessments to ensure safe and reliable operation of wet processes.
  • Develop and review engineering documentation, including P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), equipment specifications, and technical reports.
  • Manage the procurement process for wet process equipment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, budgetary constraints, and project requirements.
  • Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and startup of wet process systems, collaborating with the operations and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transition and optimal performance.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide technical guidance to resolve complex issues related to wet process operation, performance, and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to wet processes, and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in engineering, preferably in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.Minimum Experience:Min 7 years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of wet processes, preferably in a manufacturing or process industry.
