Job Summary:As an L1 Security Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches. You will work closely with other members of the security operations center (SOC) to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents.Key Responsibilities:Monitor security alerts and events generated by security tools and systems.Analyze and investigate security incidents to determine the root cause, impact, and severity.Escalate security incidents to the appropriate personnel for further investigation and resolution.Work collaboratively with other members of the SOC to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents.Document security incidents and their resolution in a timely and accurate manner.Participate in security incident response exercises to maintain readiness and improve response capabilities.Identify and report security vulnerabilities and risks to the appropriate personnel.Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security tools and systems.Keep up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends.Qualifications:0-2 years of experience in security monitoring or MSSP operations.Equivalent industry certifications: Security +, CYSA+, E-learn Security ecir, ecthp.BSc/MSc degree in Cyber Security, Information Security or a related degree/qualification (desirable).GIAC, GCIA, GCIH or similar (desirable).Minimum 1 year of experience in a SOC (desirable).Skills:Knowledge of security monitoring and analysis techniques.Familiarity with security tools and systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.If you meet the above requirements and are passionate about security, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
