Responsibilities:Design and develop instrumentation system layouts, wiring diagrams, and instrument loop diagrams (ILDs)Create and review technical drawings for process control systems, field instruments, control valves, and other instrumentation componentsProduce and review P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) updates and modificationsDevelop and maintain instrument datasheets, material take-offs, and equipment specificationsCoordinate with engineering teams to ensure proper integration of instrumentation systems with other mechanical, electrical, and process componentsAssist in the selection of field instruments and other components based on project requirementsParticipate in design reviews, ensuring adherence to project requirements, safety standards, and international codes (e.g., IEC, ISA, API)Provide support during the procurement phase by evaluating vendor technical bids and assisting with equipment selectionSupport field installation teams, ensuring proper placement and installation of instrumentsAssist with commissioning and testing of instrumentation systems on-siteEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirementsRequirements:Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering5+ years of experience in instrument design, preferably in oil & gas, energy, or petrochemical industriesProficiency in instrument design software and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SmartPlant, or similar design software)Strong knowledge of P&IDs, instrumentation diagrams, and control system integrationFamiliarity with international standards (e.g., IEC, ISA, API) and safety standards for instrumentationExperience in producing instrument datasheets, material take-offs, and technical documentationAbility to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple design tasks efficientlyStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailProficiency in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
