Job Description

Jobs at this level are responsible for supervising team operations leading towards meeting internal/external customer technical support needs and furthering the use of STC?s IT products and services. Also, they are responsible for managing self-contained projects and service streams and overseeing systems activities to ensure continued efficienciesApplication Support:Supervise the development of new systems and techniques to meet STC?s stated technical priorities.Arrange business requirements in a programming sequence by analysing requirements, preparing a work flow using subject matter expertise in programming languages and logic.Drive the analyses of existing IT systems and procedures, recommending modification programs and user procedures to best meet STC?s needs.Stage and operates pilot tests, driving the completion of quality and business acceptance tests.Build highly complex user interface applications and back-end databases using technical proficiency in various web development tools, programming languages and scripting languages.Provide programming expertise when required in development and testing of products & services.Monitor and audits compliance standards, architecture etc. across systems and applications, identifying appropriate corrective action.Pitch business cases and seeks approval for new technological services that may maximize profitability or STC.Develop user and technical documentation for the implementation, support and running of new and/or modified systems. Infrastructure & Operations Support:Contribute by participating in various working committees of telecommunication network/systems consortia including Assignment, Routing and Restoration (AR&R), Operations & Management Group (O&M) and Network Operating Center (NOC) and maintains effective relationships with the member parties.Supervise real-time security logs, systems, networks and infrastructures security.Provide an early warning signals when security problems occur.Contribute in conducting Corporate Security Forensic Investigation, and proactive Monitoring & reporting.Contribute to the preparation of the Technical Service Delivery budget and ensures that the activities within this unit are implemented/processed as per the assigned budget.Handle escalations of customers and provides authoritative advice on resolving them.Provide assistance and expertise in implementing, programming and troubleshooting systems while addressing complaints and resolving complex problems including user support.Supervise data centres design, utilization, growth and increase DCs efficiency.Supervise manage changes and jobs schedule for LL system.Supervise operations and maintenance of servers, storage, data network, infrastructure virtualization, operating systems and database systems, desktop and end-user related systems and office automation systems.Ensure infrastructure integrity, operation & maintenance, availability and performance excellence for call centre systems and operations on 24/7 basis.Ensure cloud infrastructure service delivery (IaaS) and management of cloud operations.Co - ordinate Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and emergency operations/procedures.Liaise with the related sectors and departments for enhancing servers, storage and backup systems, or implementing new services as per the agreed SLAs. Contribute in enabling the server and infrastructure management, operating systems, database administration and deployment management for Enterprise Systems/Organization Enablement Business Applications.Manage relationships with designated suppliers and vendors and external industry groups.Review vendor performance regarding the managed services. Identify and perform vendor benchmarking.Identify fraud cases and coordinates with revenue assurance department, for effective investigation of these cases. Generic Role:Contribute in analysing and identifying inadequacies, inefficiencies and problems and recommends appropriate solutions and detailed engineering specifications for the same.
