Job Description

Your future role & Job Purpose: We are looking to hireHSE Legal/Regulatory Compliance Monitoring Officer, who will be responsible for but not limited to:Support the IMS department and overall IMI business by coordinating with various parties (internal and external) including regulatory bodies and agencies of government, to ensure that business activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, uninterrupted and free from any violation and applicable sanctions.Key Accountabilities:

  • Support IMS Manager in developing a robust process for research necessary for identification of all applicable laws, regulations, royal decrees, standards, operational frameworks and other statutory obligations binding on IMI as a business entity operating within the gulf region, with consideration for IMI core business scope and client base.
  • Take part in various safety and quality initiatives of IMS department in order to support the HSEQ Corporate Objectives.
  • Ensure preparation of the compliance register/log, periodic update of the register and proper management of all data necessary to support compliance to identified compliance obligations.
  • Support the IMS Manager by ensuring regular engagement of various functions representatives on validation of permits, licenses, and certificates, notifying the IMS Manager of any bottleneck or challenges to renewal or validation of any certificate, license, or permit.
  • Engage regulators, various agencies and third parties on any issues on permits and licenses, and other business certifications.
  • Responsible to develop and implement an effective legalcomplianceprogram, create workable internal controls, monitor adherence by various function representatives through periodic compliance review.
  • Collate data and provide input on compliance performance of various functions for periodic corporate service meetings and towards annual IMS review exercise.
  • Support IMS team in ensuring yard IMS Certification target is achieved.
  • Support IMS Manager in the management and maintenance of Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
  • Provide support for the IMS Advisor in preparation of procedures, reports and various IMS activities, including communicating compliance-related issues to employees across all functions of IMI.
Who we are looking for:
  • Bachelors Degree (Law preferable)
  • Auditor Certificate in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Certification to CCEP (Certified Compliance and Ethics Profession) will be an added advantage.
  • Communicate (written & oral) in the English language with confidence.
  • Excellent listening, tactful engagement, and assertive skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Maritime and Oil & Gas Operations.
  • Excellent auditing skill/background & use of root cause verification tools.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint presentations, process mapping, Training and Competency Management, and use of analytical tools
  • Proficiency in MS office including Visio.
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years experience in Compliance Management within Oil & Gas and maritime industry or EPCI companies, and within the Gulf Country Region.
