The HSE Engineer is responsible for ensuring that health, safety, and environmental standards are implemented and maintained at the worksite. The role involves identifying potential hazards, developing safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the development and implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety regulations.Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis.Deliver safety inductions and training to employees, contractors, and site personnel.Monitor safety performance and maintain records for audits and reports.Ensure compliance with local regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).Collaborate with project teams to implement safety controls during all project phases.Promote a proactive safety culture among employees and management.Support environmental management efforts, including waste control and pollution prevention.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental).HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are required.3–5 years of relevant experience in HSE roles, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects.Knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and report-writing abilities.Proficiency in MS Office and safety management systems.
