They are seeing tremendous growth, and looking the hire a forward-thinking and commercially astute Head of Technology.DescriptionThe Head of Technology will drive the organisation towards achieving its potential in terms of technological innovation and capabilities. He/she will be responsible for:Setting the technology strategy in line with the organisations wider goals and objectivesBuilding and managing a Technology and Software Engineering teamDeveloping proprietary customer-facing products and solutions, which will deliver an outstanding customer experienceIdentifying areas of improvement and automation within the internal technology architectureSourcing external off-the-shelf solutions that will improve OperationsBeing a trusted advisor to the MD, and the in-house expert on all matters regarding Technology within the Logistics/Last Mile Delivery sectorWorking closely with other departments such as Operations, PMO, Finance, Sales & Marketing, etc.Vendor selection and managementEventually monetising some of the proprietary productsProfileThe successful candidate will have:10+ years of Technology leadership experienceExperience developing proprietary technology solutions and digital products within the Logistics/Last Mile Delivery/Ecommerce Fulfillment industriesAt least a Bachelors degree in a relevant field of studyManaged software development/engineering teams in the pastStrong stakeholder management skills, and a commercial mindsetA track record in managing teamsIdeally worked in a start-up environment or greenfield projects in the pastJob OfferAn attractive package, along with benefits (including schooling allowance) are on offer for this role.
