Building on our decades of experience in the region, this position is pivotal to our strategic initiatives, aiming to establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within the market.The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering partnerships, and positioning TMS as the premier provider of event transportation services in this dynamic and rapidly growing market. This role demands a proactive, relationship-driven approach to business development, aligning with TMSs commitment to excellence and innovation.Responsibilities:Identify and convert potential new clients into increased business.Conduct cold calls to build a robust pipeline of opportunities.Leverage your network to meet potential clients.Identify key decision-makers within client organizations.Research and build relationships with new clients.Set up meetings between client decision-makers and company leaders.Develop proposals that address client needs and concerns.Participate in pricing solutions/services and preparing RFP responses.Present new products and services to enhance existing relationships.Collaborate with technical staff and internal colleagues to meet customer needs.Attend industry events and provide feedback on market trends.Consult with management on business trends to develop new services and products.Submit accurate weekly progress reports.Ensure accurate data entry in the companys CRM or sales management system.Provide business development training and mentoring to staff.Other duties as assigned.Industry Experience & EducationAn understanding of the unique cultural and professional environment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the surrounding MENA region is essential for success. Fluency in Arabic is preferred. Head of Business Development positions typically require a bachelors degree and 3-5 years of sales or marketing experience. While an MBA is preferred, it is not essential.Industry experience, particularly within the Live Events industry, is the key factor. The ideal candidate should possess strong networking and persuasion skills, with a proven ability to identify and approach potential clients and opportunities (prospecting). Confidence and proficiency in public speaking, along with excellent research and writing abilities, are crucial. The ability to close sales and secure contracts, coupled with high motivation for sales and strategic sales planning skills, is vital.Successful candidates will be adept at identifying customer needs and challenges, managing sales territories, and maintaining market knowledge. Meeting sales goals, maintaining professionalism, and proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office are also critical for success in this role.
