Job Description

The role holder is responsible for developing, communicating and executing stc investment & corporate development strategies through the evaluation of business/investment opportunities (Core & non-Core) and aligning them with growth strategies with stc business development plans.?Acts as a strategic partner to the Group CEO, Board of Directors, Growth Steering Committee (GSC) on the strategic positioning of stc Group, highlighting key strategic growth plans, business development and investment priorities that are deemed to serve stcs interest and objectives?Works closely with Group CEO and Board of Directors to formulate and develop stc investment strategy related to Corporate Development , Merger & Acquisition and Entrepreneurship & Corporate Fund in alignment with stc overall strategy?Drives the local and international investments strategy formulation and execution to ensure that stc group maximizes its short, medium, and long-term profitability and returns to the shareholders?Works collaboratively with Growth Business Heads across stc to compile and manage Growth strategy, which includes analyzing and providing recommendations to Executive Leadership?Leads the development of stc group & BUs investment thesis to ensure alignment with stc investment strategy to support business growth?Advises Group CEO on critical changes in the competitive landscape, global marketplace and external business environment affecting stc business?Oversees the development of business opportunities, strategic partnerships (in alignment with Strategy Unit) and alliances to support investment strategic goals and identify potential organizations for merger or acquisition to expand stc businesses inorganically?Oversees and drives business development activities in investment process from the opportunity screening until the equity partner selection of all (core and non-core Investments) business opportunities?Guides the research on new growth opportunities, external M&A activity and risks to the organization?Leads the build-up of possible merger/acquisition pipeline through industry-wide networking and analyzing prospective companies for strategic fit?Guides the evaluation & execution (Including post-merger integration) of investment strategic initiatives and market opportunities (including targeted mergers, acquisitions, brand or product-line enhancements, capital expansions, restructuring, joint ventures, operational investments, and possible portfolio divestitures) to ensure alignment with strategic plans?Leads the organizations Merger & Acquisition process (Including due diligence, business case evaluation/calculation and execution) to devise investment and business development strategies in collaboration with Finance Unit?Monitors financial impact of the investments/divestments on stc financial statements before execution of M&A activities and guide accordingly?Monitoring and evaluate current minority investments performance and provide recommendations to investment/divestment while considering/studying future investment opportunities ?Leads the development of stc group & BUs and the review of subsidiaries? final Go/No-Go decisions and submissions of binding offers?Leads the organizations Entrepreneurship through managing and developing Corporate Fund governance model and startups deals flow investment opportunities?Leads the organizations startups and analysis of proposed investment opportunities to support securing required funds by Investment Committee ?Leads the monetization/integration of startups opportunities across stc group and subsidiaries?Leads the annual budget planning for the Investment Unit in collaboration with Finance Unit?Leads the optimization of capital and operational expenditures of the unit to ensure meeting all pre-defined financial KPIs?Monitors critical KPIs on a regular basis compared to targets, and initiates immediate action to address any deviation
