Job Description

SummaryThe GE Internship Program is an investment in young talents where GE trains students who meet the required criteria to perform their internship program in performance testing & diagnosticfunction for Gas Turbines Engineering. Program duration is 6 to 7 months. The program will develop the general skills of the intern with on the job knowledge and experience.Essential ResponsibilitiesThis particular Co-Op opportunity pertains an engineering function in the performance testing organization. A thermal performance engineer executes technical services on turbines and associated power plant equipment. This entails:

  • Review commercial guarantees, test expectations/requirements, and develop performance test procedures.
  • Prepare, plan, and execute thermal performance (plus emissions and acoustic) tests to equipment in sites throughout the world.
  • Analyze data, calculate test results, diagnose and evaluate testing issues and develop corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare test reports for internal and external distribution.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers regarding testing activities, schedules, and technical issues.
  • Contribute for the continued development and improvement of performance tools/processes.
Qualifications/Requirements:During the program GE will provide assignments, projects & tasks that is related to his /her major where he/she can develop his/her Leadership Capabilities, communication skills and introduce him/her to the work environment.
  • Undergrad in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering degree
  • Program duration is 6 to 7 month (Remotely)
  • Active listener with good communication skills in English.
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proactive with high level of integrity.
  • Strives to achieve Project goals and Customer satisfaction.
  • A team player with the ability to communicate effectively with crosses functional teams.
  • Displays willingness to work in harsh environments on as needed basis
