Job Description

Syarah is on a mission to change how people buy their cars in Saudi and the Middle East. We offer buyers an end-to-end digital car buying experience where they can buy their next car from the comfort of their living rooms. Under the hood, we build systems to manage sourcing of cars, inspection, photography, merchandising, reconditioning, financing, insurance, shipping and many more. Our goal is to turn car buying into an experience of delight, comfort and peace of mind.Finance Manager is responsible to maintain accounting, reporting, operations and treasury functions. He is responsible to maintain IFRS compliance and tax compliance schedules. He is responsible to provide management reporting assigned to him on timely manner.Responsibilities:Accounting:

  • Set KPIs and monitor progress and development towards strategic objectives.
  • Act as a custodian of all financial numbers and single source of information in terms of:
  • Work with concerned business units to evaluate and monitor the performance in following areas:
  • Accounting schedules and substantiating evidence to support external auditors
  • Position of bank accounts compared to current and expected inflows and outflows to monitor liquidity
  • Operational performance and backlog of payments to vendors
  • Follow up on collection with each business unit head and update any pending / delayed collections and report to management Investigate and approve to issue credit notes to customers after making sure the item is returned to warehouse
  • Prepare supplier payment plan and prioritize as per business need and direction. Communicate with suppliers in case of delayed payments or reconciliations
  • Conduct annual inventory counts and period audits to ensure the accuracy of inventory quantity and value
  • Manage the financial reporting and analysis activities
  • Coordinate with relevant external stakeholders for fulfilling the statutory compliances relating to the financial statements
  • Prepare the statutory financials of the business units and consolidated financials
  • Maintain IFRS compliance schedules
  • Monthly closing practices and ensure accurate and timely closing.
Treasury & Operations:
  • Coordination with relevant internal stakeholders for the development of Capex and Opex projections
  • Provide management with an overview of expected cash flows to ensure the availability of funds
  • Analysis of key financial ratios such as current ratio analysis and liquidity ratios to evaluate liquidity
  • Forecast, monitor, and track cash flow to ensure timely payment of due expenses, including suppliers and employees.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Monthly closing within deadline and accuracy of modular data
  • Annual audit, Zakat, WHT and VAT data shared within deadline
  • Daily, weekly and monthly cash forecast reporting on deadline
  • Budget management and reporting on timely manner
  • AP, AR and Ordering reconciliation and sharing of data with respective people
  • Monthly closing of procurement, sales and inventory modules, posting and reconciliation with GL
  • Monthly accruals, prepayments and provisions transactions and adjustments and closing of TB
  • Daily cash position update and summary of collections and payments for planning
  • Manage and lead accounting team in order to achieve set timelines, reporting standards and KPIs
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Masters degree or MBA preferred)
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent
  • 10 years or more of relevant experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements
