Field Research (Marine) Operations & Administration ManagerLocation:Saudi Arabia The Biological and Environmental Sciences and Engineering (BESE) division is seeking to appoint a Field Research (Marine) Operations Manager who will report to the Dean.Job Purpose:You will manage a range of planning and operational duties, reporting and engagements. This position is critical to ensure seamless planning and execution of all Fieldwork and Research expeditions. As the Field Research (Marine) Operations Manager , you will manage all administrative operations, staff and team coordination to accomplish all BESE research goals.Major Accountabilities:You will:* Manage all logistics related to planning and operating fieldwork, with a focus on a growing set of needs in marine research expeditions. Streamline operations, optimize resources, and implement strategy. * Facilitate reports and agreements from field research that are associated with the use of collected data and samples. * Lead compliance documentation for laboratory and field research safety. * Participate in strategic and operational planning, be responsible for the implementation of operational plans by organizing people, delivering outputs and reporting on results. * Coordinate interactions with collaborators, service-providers, and various research entities at KAUST. ??????? * Liaise with external collaborators and entities to ensure cohesive operations and execution of requirements related to joint tasks, activities, and agreements. ??????? * Represent the Division with a diverse range of internal (VPR Office, Office of Sponsored Research, HR, Finance, Procurement, Health and Safety) and external (private and government sectors) stakeholders. ??????? * Support the Dean, Senior Faculty, and Staff to build and deploy strong teams, mitigate challenges, and strengthen alignment and understanding to achieve academic and research mandates. ??????? * Identify and utilize best practices to accommodate and facilitate operations, in accordance with KAUST policies and procedures.Qualifications:* Master?s Degree in Marine, or other Biological Life Sciences.Experience:* Minimum of 6 years? experience in Operations or Administration within Academia or Science related activities.
