Job Description

CompanyOur client is founded by the Saudi government to bring all communities together and develop all sectors and fields with innovative solutions. They are currently looking for an Engineering Crane Lead to be based in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside technology vendors, consultants, and the internal Stakeholder to troubleshoot, identify improvement opportunities, and support integrated technologies to enable best in class cargo handling equipment
  • Being the ports expert and source of an up-to-date knowledge base to the ports equipment strategy and implementation.
  • Implement measurement techniques to monitor all stages of the maintenance and monitoring process to proactively identify challenges to the efficient operation of the port in terms of cargo handling.
  • Input into the procurement of Cargo Handling Equipment such as writing specifications and evaluation vendors proposals.
  • To ensure cargo handling automation complies to the current Saudi Arabian regulations, industry directives and best practice.
  • The incumbent shall be expected to take on other responsibilities or workstreams as directed.
Qualification & Requirements:
  • IOSH or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Cargo Handling Manufacturers Training Certification is required.
  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years supporting the design and maintenance of Cargo Handling Equipment in a Container Port.
  • Proven experience of Managing people and projects.
  • Proven experience interacting with Vendors of Cargo Handling Equipment such as those from KONE, Kalmar, ZPMC, Sany, Liebherr other leading suppliers.
  • Proven understanding of IT Networking and Equipment integration to applications such as Fleet Management system and Terminal Operating Systems as implemented in Automated Cargo Handling Equipment.
  • Safety within an automated environment is of paramount importance, therefore the role shall advise all safety risks and construct method statements and assessment as required.
  • A problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.
