The Electro.-neurodiagnostic Technologist assists with routine Electro.-neurodiagnostic monitoring of patients in the neuro.-lab and surgical operating room which includes but not limited to: collecting patients Electro.-neurodiagnostic data in the neuro.-lab or surgical operating room and providing preliminary interpretation of the Electro.-neurodiagnostic reports in order to to preserve and improve the patients peri.-surgical neurological function, promote best practices in monitoring to enhance patient care and safety outcomes and ensure compliance with electrical and hazardous material safety protocols.Strategic Roles & Responsibilities %10Strategic Roles & ResponsibilitiesRecognize and address technical and physiological challenges in complex environments and contribute to the overall effectiveness of patient care strategies Additionally use knowledge of safety protocols and equipment management supports risk mitigation and enhances procedural efficiency within the healthcare systemUtilize knowledge of neuroanatomy and anesthesia to interpret data and communicate findings effectively to surgical teams and neurophysiology EEG monitoring seizure semiology and seizure precautions to perform longterm epilepsy monitoring safely and effectivelyPerform and ensure delivering accurate and highquality interpretation of neurophysiologic studies in the neurolab or surgical operating room and communicate that effectively with the treating provider or surgeon onsitePromote best practices in monitoring to enhance patient care and safety outcomesOperational Roles & Responsibilities %90Operational Roles & ResponsibilitiesConduct basic and routine neurodiagnostic procedures eg EEG routine and continuous NCS EPreceive supervision to conduct intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring in the neurosurgical operating roomEnsure accurate electrode placement and waveform optimizationIdentify and resolves technical and physiological issues in diverse clinical settingsCalibrate and operate neurodiagnostic equipmentTroubleshoot instrument malfunctionsMinimum Education RequiredBachelors degree in Neurophysiology (Neuroscience Technology).
