Job Description

Overview of the role:The Electrical Site Supervisor works on a project and is responsible mainly for all site electrical activities on the project. The Electrical Site Supervisor will have a team of Foreman and charge hand, depending on the size of the project assigned, and in his capacity, is responsible for the timely completion of the electrical works at site, ensuring that the installation are compliant to specification and satisfaction of the consultant / client in line with the Projects programme.ÿWhat you will do:ÿKey Accountability 1:ÿMaterial ManagementResponsible for :

  • Prepare / quantifying total material requirements for the project in coordination with foremen / charge hands and ensuring timely issuance of material requirement to site engineers.ÿ
  • Coordinating with site engineer for the timely issuance of LPO?s and vendors for the timely delivery of materials.
ÿKey Accountability 2:ÿLabor ManagementResponsible for :
  • Coordinating with foreman / charge hands in quantifying total labor requirements for the project and notifying Site / Sr. Engineer in advance the labor requirements of the project.ÿ
  • Coordinating / Following up with Foreman / charge hand to get the daily productivity, compare with planned, taking corrective actions for loss of productivity / notifying Site / Sr. Engineer about the same.
ÿKey Accountability 3:ÿSiteÿManagementResponsible for :
  • Ensuring that project milestones are met with the resources assigned.
  • Coordination with other trades for services clashes during installation.
  • Maximize the efficient use of plant and equipment at site.
ÿKey Accountability 4:ÿCost ManagementResponsible for :ÿ
  • Maintain records of all abortive costs due to reworks, damages made by other contractors and notifying / coordinating with site engineers to raise variation claims.ÿ
  • Check for the options to propose good value engineering solutions on the designs which could mutually benefit all stakeholders, including a potential improvement to the budgeted profit margins.
ÿKey Accountability 5:ÿQuality / StandardsResponsible for :
  • Ensuring proper documentation, inspections are made / obtaining approvals for all site installation.
  • Maintaining Lessons learnt register, exchange technical information and learnings within the organization to maintain awareness of internal projects, developments and trend.
ÿKey Accountability 6:ÿHealth, Safety & EnvironmentResponsible for :
  • Ensuring tool box talks are conducted by supervisors prior to commencement of work.
  • Ensuring that all company and sub contract personnel are complying with AFE HSE Policy.
  • Reporting all personal injuries and incidents and assisting with investigations.
  • Actively supporting and participate in safety and environmental initiatives.
  • Ensuring JSAs are completed as required.

  • The Electrical Site Supervisor will be totally responsible for the delivery / installation of all Electrical works of a project.
  • The Electrical Site Supervisor coordinates assigned projects, promotes safe working practices, develops and executes technically compliant, cost effective electrical engineering solutions for a project.
