Job Description

Job Role: Work independently to carry out the mandates of GMCo (research; drafting papers and notes etc.);Assist Head of ERS in the pursuit of the objectives and carrying out the tasks defined in Article 6 of the Monetary Union Agreement. Undertake assignments as requested by PresidentKey Activities

  • Contribute significantly to the preparation of the Annual Report (through carrying out modelling work, drafting sections of the Report etc.).
  • Expand the macro-modelling work of GMCo and update the results of existing models whenever new data become available.
  • Contribute meaningfully to the delivery of technical assistance to National Central Banks
  • Participate in training for central bankers and junior staff
  • Participate in the preparation and holding of workshops.

  • Financial:
Extent of participation in preparation of Annual Report and all other tasks caried out by ERS Unit
  • Non-Financial:
Good interaction with other team members; support provided to the Unit; coaching junior staff; quality of technical assistance delivered.
  • Education Experience:
Master of Economics, Statistics or related field PhD is preferable.
  • Experiences:
10 years experience in a public sector institution (central banks, ministry, university, etc.) or in the private sector (commercial banks; regulatory/supervisory entity or similar organizations)
  • Job related Skills:
Leadership in assisting GMCo achieve its statutory objectives
