Job Description

Job Purpose: Develop and implement business applications, systems, and procedureswithin recognized fields of Information Technology (IT) endeavours asdetailed. Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Enhance or develop and maintain and support computer software and hardware;test and evaluate Information Technology (IT) systems;develop and mentor IT Support engineer;manage & assist in managing Information Technology (IT) projects.
  • Install, customize, and troubleshoot open computer operating systems software, hardware, and Database Management.
  • Install and support software required to maintainbusiness functions, such as applications servers, database servers andfile servers.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to Department and Corporate KPI requirements associated with IT Network and Infrastructure availability and performance.
  • Develop monitoring scripts to maintain good health of hardware andoperating system.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and support networking software to supportaccommodation areas, such as Wide Area Networks(WAN?s) and Local Area Networks (LAN?s).
  • Review andanalyzeuser request for computer and communicationsystems andrecommend solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to Service LevelAgreements, when supporting customers.
  • Develop and mentorthe Computer & Communication Operations teammembers.
  • Manage & assist in managing Information Technology (IT) projects.
  • Performs System audits, assessments, and reports to management with findings and undertake measures to ensure conformance.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPInternal Interactions
  • Frequent contact with Senior Analysts for direction andguidance, and with customers for review and evaluation of applicationrequirements.
External Interactions
  • Frequent contact with vendors for product information, andInformation Technology (IT) project status.
Who we are looking for: QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
  • Bachelorof Science (BS) / Bachelor?sdegreein Computer Science, Management Information Technology (MIS),Engineering.
Professional Qualifications(Certifications & Accreditations)
  • IT Industry Accredited and related certificate e.g.,MCITP, ITIL, CCNP, CCSP, VCAP, DB Admin.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
  • Proficient withAdministration of IT systems, Hardware, OS, Databases, LAN, WAN, Applications used within IMI
  • Proficient inmaintaining precise control over Configuration Items, including hardware devices, applications, documentation, telecom services, data center facilities to deliver IT services.
  • Familiar with frameworks and standards associated with IT like ISO 20000, ISO 27001, NIST etc.
Languages
  • Thoroughly proficient in both verbal and written English.
EXPERIENCE
  • Eight(8) years in computing environment.
