Job Description

Data AnalystAt our Project Management Office Department/Project Metrics Division organization we are looking for an experienced Database Analyst to analyze and process project data located on various platforms. Typical duties will include:Main Purpose:Driving and facilitating project cost and schedule data collection within a project controls and governance environment. Performs necessary data cleansing to support analytics use cases, advanced predictions and reporting. Integrates, centralizes, protects, and maintains data sources.Supports translating business problems into data models and design innovative data visualization and cleans data to support predictive analytics solutions. Supports continuous improvement actions with measurable effect through automating data collection.Background/Experience:

  • Bachelor?s degree in Engineering/IT/Business Administration/Finance
  • 10+ years? oil & gas EPC project controls (scheduling, cost estimating/controls) progressive experience with 3+ years relevant engineering and data visualization background
  • Full cycle project lifecycle exposure from conceptual Engineering down to PRE-FEED, FEED and Execution. Proficient with Engineering, Procurement and Construction terminology and work sequencing
  • Database development, administration and management on MS Access, Excel, Power BI
  • Familiar with Primavera P6 as a schedule development and controls tool. Ability to extract schedule related information from P6 into various database environments for further processing
  • Hands on experience with SAP transactions to perform data mining operations, mainly from FI/CO modules
  • Demonstrable analytics experience including ability to synthesize and present intelligence derived from data on MS PowerPoint
  • Mid to advanced user in MS Excel: vlookups, nested formulas, pivot tables, PowerPivot, Power Query, some knowledge of VBA for Excel
  • Familiar with developing work instructions/procedural basis for new processes

  • Work on designing data models for innovative data visualization and predictive analytics solutions to drive proactive decision making
  • Understand the data model in terms of business process , drive improvement actions on data modeling and data harmonization
