Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Contract Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to ensure that the requirements of the Contract documents are implemented and maintained throughout the Contract period.Position OverviewManages all contractual matters, negotiates and ensures compliance with the terms and conditions of contract as well as assessing the Contractors entitlement and maintaining a record of all changes/variations throughout the project.

  • Ensure that the requirements of the Contract documents are implemented and maintained throughout the Contract period
  • Review the contractual notices of claims/variations and providing contractual advice to the Engineering department.
  • Interact with the client representatives, supervision consultant, cost consultant, T&C consultant and relevant contractors in respect of all contractual matters.
  • Prepare the correspondence and maintain records necessary to ensure the effective administration of all contractual matters.
  • Responsible for the preparation and maintaining the Engineers instructions, variation orders and claims log.
  • Assist in the review of the contractors claims in accordance with the Contract ensuring that the Clients interests are protected.
  • Ensure that all warranties, bonds, insurances, guarantees, ..etc. are in place, maintained and updated pursuant to the Contract and in compliance with the Clients requirements.
  • Attend commercial meetings, claims meetings, EOTs meeting and provide the necessary support/advice.
  • Assess the Contractual entitlement in respect of the contractors claims.
  • Assist in the provision of the Engineers determination in respect of the Contractors and Clients claims.
  • Facilitates the contract close-out procedures to ensure all terms and conditions of contract have been complied with prior to final settlement.
Education/ExperienceBachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field and typically 15+ years of prime contract administration experience within a large international engineering and construction firm is required.Skills/CompetenciesFIDIC Yellow Book extensive knowledge its a must
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity is also required.
  • Professional membership such as RICS and CIArb is preferred.
  • More into Contract Administration Management than Commercial Management.
