Job Description

The candidate should be well versed with Building Construction Materials and purchasing. Should have minimum of 15 years of experience in Building construction and buying. Candidates who have worked with large contracting firms can also be considered.The candidate should have strong techno commercial knowledge on Electrical, Plumbing, Airconditioning, Fire Fighting and ELV services Should have undertaken capital purchases of items in excess of US $ 50 mn.

  • The Key responsibility includes handling efficiently all the procurement activities related to HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting Sprinkler, and Electrical and associated spare parts, Consumables, etc..
  • Checking up all Tender Drawings, BOQ and Specifications. Identify & ensure materials descriptions from the materials requisitions are in accordance with tender requirements.
  • Review the final Tender B.O.Q
  • Sending inquiries to prequalified contractors and getting quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval.
  • Prepare comparison sheets.
  • Arrange meetings with suppliers to facilitate pre bid queries.
  • Provide key take away and strategy for final negotiation by management in line with company Policy
  • terms and conditions including evaluating VE and alternative bids.
  • Should be aware of commodity pricing and conversions. SASO approvals and imports.
Coordinate internally on the review of proposed contracts with respect to financial terms; intellectual property rights, service terms with a focus on Risk management, purchase obligations and rights. Seek opinions and internally consult as necessary.Strong focus on DLP, warranties and AMC
  • Assist in release of local purchase Orders.
  • Coordinator between Projects requirement and Suppliers, Subcontractors and Company Materials Store.
  • Provide Follow up on material delivery and documentation requirements.
  • Provide Full Support to Project Managers in order to hand over Sites on planned time.
Employ a data driven approach to develop long term plans including forecasted costs, savings targets and planned projectsIn line with SRM program, evaluate suppliers to continually enhance working practices, more open collaboration and lead continuous improvement initiativesImplement and achieve KPI/SLA targets + metrics to formalize assessment and reporting of Contractor, Consultant, Supplier performance as well as establish goals and metrics to track the success of implemented process solutions and continually evaluate and adjust as necessaryImplement automated procurement and invoicing solutions with Strategic Suppliers
